Our clients' brief

Our clients’ beautiful villa garden was in need of a spruce up and they were keen to define multiple garden zones that would cater for their active young family. They wanted a design plan that they could implement themselves over time, with plant selections that were of course in keeping with the villa style but still ‘child-hardy’ and relatively low maintenance.

Our design response

This corner villa already featured a stunning screen of pleached olive trees so we built on this with textured layering that also complemented the existing plants and welcomed visitors with a high-impact entrance. 

The design included easy hard-landscaping tweaks that would quickly bring the garden up to date and as parents ourselves, we recognised the need to ensure our plant selections were robust enough to survive the odd soccer ball. 

We also provided practical detail and tips that will enable our clients to tackle one zone at a time and plant selections that would enable them to shop seasonally over time.
